I got your page while surfing Guyana news. My great grandmother was born in (then) British Guiana in the mid 1800s, then moved to Barbados. My father was born in Bridgetown in 1896. He lived to be 93. My husband and I live in Hunt

Spent a great three years in Georgetown, Guyana from
1986-89. Presently living in New Delhi. Our nanny,
a gem of a woman named Venus Patoir, is Guyanese (from Kitty)
and has travelled with us first to Port-of-Spain and
now to New Delhi.
Remember many good times in Guyana and have a special
place in our hearts for Guyanese--our son Geoffrey was
born in Georgetown in 1989.
